:: Google Enters New
Domain

Google launched on Thursday a service that
lets people create their own Web pages hosted by
the Internet giant.
Google Page Creator, which is in beta, has sample
layouts and lets people type in content, upload
images and publish their pages, without knowing
HTML. People can create multiple linked pages and
are allowed 100MB of storage on the service.

A number of new RSS management tools have
popped up. The following tools all make managing
RSS feeds easier.
rss2html.php - Free PHP script for
displaying RSS feeds as html web pages.
FutureRSS - The future-rss.php script
is used to automatically delay the publication of
Items in an RSS feed. This allows Items in a RSS
feed to be created ahead of time, and then slowly
released over a period of time.
RSS Cache - The rss2html Cache module
reduces bandwith and speeds up the process of displaying
RSS feeds as html web pages.

Breed?

Steve Rubel has a great post about
bloggers invading the space of bloggers -
Google has come out swinging, defending their
stance in the DOJ search data matter. However, they
did not issue a press release. Rather they went
with a blog post by Nicole Wong, Associate General
Counsel. AP takes notice. I think the tide has turned.
The press release is dying. Someone ought to do
a study tracking daily press release volumes. I
bet they're decreasing in favor of blogging.

Google has just announced the acquisition
of MeasureMap, a web analytics company
specializing in tracking solutions for blogs. The
price of the acquisition has not been disclosed.

Quite frankly, most are having difficulty seeing
the value in Google Base. Google Base, is a new
service in beta, from Google that requests that
publishers add their information to the "Google
